I will be @ the ASU Art Museum on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 11-3 offering free art activities in conjunction with the exhibit The New Animist.
https://asuevents.asu.edu/content/new-animist

Basic information:
programs like this take place on the first Saturday of every month and invites children ages 4–12 and their families to make a creative project in conjunction with exhibitions. No registration required. All materials are provided and families can take home their artwork.
Animals and the Environment:
Animism means we should respect everything around us, even trees and rocks and animals. Come explore the nature-inspired art in The New Animist and make your own artwork about the environment and animals.

August 1-31, 2016
Reception for the artist:
First Friday, August 5, 2016, 7-9pm

Our August show “Hare” features works by Phoenix artist Christy Puetz. Christy creates intricately beaded creatures from the fantastical environments of myths and historical events. The rabbits in her exhibition, “Hare," were inspired by the novel Watership Down,
emphasizing loss and youth. Each rabbit is a tactile story made of tiny glass beads. Come to Practical Art and be inspired by this unique and creative exploration of sight and feelings.
